Do you know what a digital sunset is❓🌅 Well once I started following I felt great until I slipped back... ...in its literal sense a #digitalsunset is when you switch off your tech at a certain time of day and unplug. On one extreme it can be switching everything off - computer, phones, video games, Netflix... - or choosing the main ones like the phone. That's what I did. At around 8 pm I was putting my phone on airplane mode so that my time was completely mine 😜 Notifications OFF, texting OFF, phone calls OFF, internet OFF‼️ I got to say it felt great. Like I was no unreachable and can do as I please without being "on" all the time. Within a few days I felt much more relaxed, and "slowed-down" and I kept this going for months. ... And then I created this instagram account and helped get the business one going too and without even realizing it I was in my phone All Day & Night! My normal routine of only doing about 45-60 mins on technology and work and then taking a break was completely disrupted 🤔 I felt anxious all the time, constantly checking updates, scrolling, looking for likes and comments, and generally feeling stressed ⚡ My mood changed and I was getting "snappy" with people around me, unfocused, spending less quality time with the kids and overall not as much fun to be around 😑 So as soon as I had the #aha I made the change, went back to my routine and feel much better. Yes, some of the momentum slowed down, however, the quality focus has increased and bottom line, a healthy mind translate into much better, bigger and faster achievements 😝 Have you experienced this? Do you practice a digital sunset?
