In today's fast-paced digital world, we have moved beyond traditional practices, embracing more efficient ways to connect. Video Calling has revolutionized the way people from different countries collaborate without the need for travel.

A little late night Shanghai Zoom sesh.... So many things I do are late night. Storyboard ideas. Research. Reasses. Connect. The privilege of International attention professionally and culturally have become an essential blessing for Honey Child. The opportunity to be seen and talk about things that are important to the body of work or to my heart are the best part of this ugly time. It's affirming and validating to talk with someone who has gotten my 'messages in the bottle'. I've been blessed to converse & collaborate with Culinary professionals like the incredible Vegan powerhouse @bettyliciouscooks in Sierra Leone which also led me to the game changing @madeinhackney community who use their resources to reshape food security, education, and inclusive community foodways. @blackfoodfolks honored me with an interview with Historian, Author, Chef, and Culture builder @blackculinary. Ms.Nelson especially has given me anchoring professional sisterhood that has honestly taught me how to reference, source/credit, and be included in conversations about the genius, bona fide brilliance, and resilience of Black American's place in the Diaspora in all ways, but especially with food as the medium. She has also introduced me to other Black female culinary pros that I've come to treasure in friendship and learn from professionally. To articulate the power these exchanges have had on my loneliness, ambitions, and professional standards are incalculable. The knowledge of being seen professionally has kept me trying, dreaming, and encouraged that I am indeed, figuring things out and building a Legacy worthy of the material. Best of all it has kept me positive, open and even more loving. I will never take for granted anyone wanting to converse and build with me. Not utilize, not mindlessly consume.
