the secret box of desires plastic-artefact (sculpture) daniel juvancy 2018
It is no longer a matter of decorating the world but rather of living it fully and especially not circumscribing it to an ideal form. the construction of simple, colorful shapes, allowing reflection, poetic drift and also the development of new dreams proves to be an acceptable solution. So I propose a multiform project a bit like a huge artifact composed of poor materials, simplistic colors and universal shapes. For the moment, this project develops vague zones of emotional projections in which each of us can evolve as we please: a structuring zone a zone of relevance a zone of uncertainty a zone of plenitude a zone of erasure. In these spaces present objects have no value neither artistic nor commercial nor philosophical ... In a way, you do not evolve around or in a work of art. moreover, the notion of art is often cumbersome and controversial. These infinite and somewhat ridiculous controversies only delay or even destroy the effect sought by artists ... and the public turns away from works of art as if they became inaccessible ... in the case of this project we will no longer talk about art but rather a naive attempt to connect humans to their possible, their desirable changes .... To create is not to add another stone to an unstable edifice ... it may be to extract from oneself an emotion towards transparency. Think the useless. the useless, pure beauty. the mystery is preferable to boredom. the mystery is a force ...
"It is an age where we teach what we know; but then comes another where we teach what we do not know: this is called searching. Perhaps now comes the age of another experience: that of unlearning, of allowing the unpredictable rearrangement that oblivion imposes on the sedimentation of knowledge, cultures and beliefs that have been crossed. This experience has, I believe, an illustrious and old-fashioned name, which I dare to take here without complex, at the very crossroads of its etymology: Sapienta: no power, a little wisdom, a little knowledge and as much flavor as possible. "
