Yes, in part I’m sharing this for the free paper set, but this is kind of an unreal deal on a set of digital art programs that emulate traditional media in some fun & surprisingly convincing ways. Just played around with the watercolor settings and I’m genuinely impressed with the dynamics built into the ‘paint.’ It feathered, bled & layered much like the real thing, and you can tilt the canvas to create directional drips/pigment-distribution. I grabbed the other apps as well and Flame Painter has a lot of potential for element effects, not just fire.
Since I had some of you peeps chime in with helpful suggestions for non-subscription alternatives to Procreate & Ph/otoshop for line-art (thank you again), perhaps this can help one of you out the way you helped me!
So one of my attempts at doing something new this year is going to be trying out a drawing tablet for the first time. I used to draw a lot but then fibro happened and arm twitching sort of sent that down the drain for a good decade or so. However, I recently picked the desire to art up again (may pigment save my soul) and I figure a drawing tablet with an undo button might save me many a frustrating moment of cursing my own arm. However I am a complete noob when it comes to this. Thus follows my question.
Artsy people of tumblr, do you have any suggestions on what art program to use with said drawing tablet for an utter digital art beginner?
I’ve tried to read up on it a bit, but most advice seems to come down to “use what you prefer/fits your needs the best”. Great advice, if you actually know what you prefer and/or need. So please help a chronically out of spoons person out. Any and all tips are welcome. Both for programs or anything else you think a digital arting hatchling and very rusty person of the pencil could use.
Been inactive lately busy with work. But when I have the time, I manage to still muster up a quick painting of my boy, Aries.
I’m still getting around to doing that huge guardian painting c’: two characters down and two more to go !
<3Like, comment, share, repeat ! <3
Yeah so uh I’m gonna spamming art of them a lot this week oops

Hello Naomi! I follow you on instagram and tumblr for two days ago because i really love and then i mean LOVE your paintings and fan arts but i have a question i am curious about and that's what you have for programs when you paint your paintings or fan arts? I use Photoshop CC or Medibang when I draw but what do you use? do you also use Photoshop CC as me or do you use any other program? like your great paintings!😃😃 have a nice day!😃
Hello! I exclusively use CLIP STUDIO Paint now, though for the last 10 years (prior to June of 2018) I used Paint Tool Sai. I learned how to use Photoshop CC in college and I did really like the program but I can’t afford to subscribe to it monthly, and Clip Studio was a very affordable option that was similar to Photoshop and easy to transition from Paint Tool Sai. I recommend it to any digital artists, it’s a really great program and it goes on sale all the time!
