"Good evening Mr. Bonachard." the red-coated ghost saluted with his saber. "Quiet since you left."
Salem grinned as he strode up to the front gate of the Bone Orchard, pleased to see it’s newest resident. He’d only appeared a few days ago, and the grave keeper was still trying to get his name straight.
“Evenin’ teh you too!” he replied, giving what he hoped was a proper salute in return. “Crimony, have yeh been guardin’ this place all afternoon?”
He knew it wasn’t easy for spirits to keep their forms during the day and that not even ghosts had infinite stamina. So, giving the spectral soldier a good-natured smile, Sal took a deep breath and extended his magic to the fellow, giving him a good eventide bolster. If nothing else, it aught to make the keeping his watch easier on the spirit.
“Heh, nothin’ like a little bolsterin’ teh show one’s appreciation,” the grave keeper remarked, shouldering his shovel. “That aughta help yeh in yer watch.
