My friend has been wanting to go to her first anime con for 4 years. Really she just wants to be able to openly express herself and what she likes. The only reason she can't always express herself, especially her love for anime, is because her mom assumes everything is super "inappropriate" and girls show everything, I won't go into detail but she also assumes that all anime is hentai and cosplay is just slutty dress up and she just flips out if she even mentions anything related to anime, including her love for animating. I just want to show her that anime isn't about that, and it can be good and fun, not just a group of 25-40 year old pervs watching porn.
