Happy Wednesday everyone!
This fic is mainly a result of Katar and I talking about AUs...which is super dangerous, because we both already have too many AU ideas and don’t really need more. But it lead to my ‘what if Logan became a doctor instead of a soldier’ and here’s the start of what that story is going to look like (super rough start, just wrote last night).
“Read the words,” the soldier hissed in Spanish, shaking the piece of paper in front of the doctor.
The young doctor glared back at the soldier, but made no move to take the piece of paper, let alone start reading the demands. He looked weary, his scrubs were wrinkled and scuffed, his shoulders slumped. But still there was fire in his eyes, a spark of resistance that anyone watching could see. Including the terrorists.
In a flash, one of the other terrorists was across the room, gripping at the doctor’s blond locks and yanking back his head, a knife appearing against the man’s now exposed throat. “He said read the paper,” the soldier repeated as he slowly trailed the knife along the pale skin of the doctor, a small trail of blood following when the sharp edge broke the skin. “Or one of your nurses is next,” he added, in English this time, flicking the knife in front of the doctor’s eyes.
The doctor nodded curtly, and reached out for the paper, his trembling hand revealing his underlying nerves. He cleared his throat loudly and then looked straight at the camera, beginning to read their demands to the US Government.
“We order the release of the following prisoners…”
Hesh zoned out at that point of the broadcast; they were the only words that Hesh heard.
Because he recognized that man; knew that man almost as well as he knew his team.
It was his brother…Logan.
