Artist Interview : DIEVERSE
Follow DIEVERSE on twitter: @DIEVERSE_MUSICK
For our second artist interview, we bring you,the young and talented DIEVERSE from Rhode Island. True to his name, he pulls triple duty by being an MC and also making beats/producing tracks. On March 13, 2014 the 19 year old artist released his second mixtape titled "Let's Reflect." As always the project of our featured artist is what's most important, below you will find a short interview and a showcase the newest project from our artist.
HZRDUS: "After listening to your songs "Better Days" and "Come Clean," it is very clear you're talking about real issues and putting out work with a real message... What kind of topics and themes can we expect to hear from the rest of the mixtape?"
DIEVERSE: "You can expect a lot of real life experiences, and deep storytelling with complex expression. I also have some more hyped music for those who like it, mainly it's an underground sound, but sometimes you gotta give the people what they want to hear."
H: "Something else I want to touch on for our readers, is that you make beats... How would you say that influences your creative process and yourself as an MC? "
D: "It has definitely made me a better MC. I first experimented with making beats because as an artist I didn't want to pay for instrumentals. Through making beats, I learned to appreciate different types of music, at first I only listened to underground rap. Now the music I listen to, and create, is much more diverse." H: "Being only 19 you have your foot in the door at a very young age, "Let's Reflect" dropped 3/13/14 and is a project you should have a lot of pride and confidence in. Our brand is here for your support and encouragement as a developing artist. Keep pushing and keep doing your thing, in time realness is always recognized."

"Behind The Closed Door": A look back at our launch photoshoot
After many months of obsessive research, hard work and dedication, it was time to launch HZRDUS™.
Since July of 2013, I have been busy formulating a brand which I feel is authentic. But this is much more than a brand to me - this is like a religion. I have undying faith in my brand. I will be with it through all the ups and downs, and in return HZRDUS™ will always have my back.
The weekend leading up to February 24, 2014
This weekend was one filled with many days of planning. Together both Nicole B. of Local Magazine and myself were able to arrange an impromptu photoshoot at the college I attend, Rhode Island College. With her hard work and dedication to helping the brand, we were also able to acquire the help of three talented models: David Phaneuf, Jerzy Polak, and Soco.
Monday February 24, 2014
Finally, the big day.
After so much time of having HZRDUS™ behind closed doors, I was going to have the quality photos to launch my website. Even though I had morning classes I was uncharacteristically excited through the monotony of school and when my class ended at 12:20PM I was mentally ready to take on the day.
12:30PM-1PM
Earlier in the day, while I attended class, my girlfriend was taking product photos with photographer Nicole B.
At roughly 1PM they arrived on campus with products and ready to make the photo-shoot happen.
1PM-2:30PM
While waiting for our models to arrive I was able to meet up with and interview Rhode Island native and triple threat: MC/Beatmaker/Producer - Dieverse. (INTERVIEW COMING SOON)
3-6:30(ish)PM
We had shot some photos around Donavan Dining Center at RIC, but it wasn't really going as expected, and it was pretty cold.
Then one of our models suggested we go to the Ballroom in the Student Union at Rhode Island College. This is when things got good.
As soon as we walked in, the first thing we saw was a huge white screen. Can it get any better?
The answer is yes! Upon further exploration of our new location, my girlfriend found this giant spotlight behind a closed door for us to light up the white screen.
And the rest is history.
Thank you again to my girlfriend for all her help, to our models David, Jerzy and Soco for their participation, to Nicole B. for her service, and lastly to Local Magazine NE for their support!
Some upcoming posts: Interview with PeterBruh (featuring music from his latest mixtape: "Smallest State Biggest Dreams") and an Interview with Dieverse on his upcoming mixtape "Lets Reflect" + exclusive tracks!
