Every time I try to look at rick griffin's Housepets! art, I keep finding something disdainful, like this here drawing of Fox and King having intercourse. I already noted how little he seems to value character relationships on his strip (as with Tarot being perfectly fine that Peanut and Grape make out, and wanting to know more about it as some sort of mock "understanding,") so him not valuing rooted friendships of a once human turned dog and his sole canine friend whom he did wrong before being transformed.
There is no acceptable explanation other than being furry smut of his characters at this point, and if rumors of him wanting his webcomic turning into such things was on the table from the beginning, then I have no reason to accept that he values any serious events that said characters went through in order to live peacefully.
