Tibet, 19th century. An image of the Wheel of the Law or the Doctrine (Dharmacakra). Made of silver, gilt copper and semi-precious stones: consists of twelve spokes, inlaid with turquoise and coral, a three-leaved hub of coral, turquoise and lapis, and a silver surround rising on a gilt foliate stalk from a lotus pedestal.
