JIDEOFOR (2023) — Album by Dhanjae

JIDEOFOR is my most streamed and most impactful body of work. Released on January 31, 2023, the album is named after my first name “Jideofor,” which means “hold onto righteousness” in Igbo.

This wasn’t just music. It was spiritual work, protest work, a reclamation of dignity and survival. I made this in defiance of the world trying to disappear me.

Every song is still alive. Every sound on this record still speaks.

BLACK OCTOBER is a protest album. A sonic funeral. A warning. A resurrection.

Released in 2021 during the fallout of the #EndSARS massacres and the silencing of young Nigerians, this project stands as my refusal to forget — and my refusal to be forgotten.

The name is a direct reference to October 2020. But this isn’t nostalgia. This is documentation. This is grief turned to fire.

I lost people. I lost friends. I lost safety.

But BLACK OCTOBER is still here. And I’m still here.
