a more detailed breakdown of the body:
this is it out of the bag!! it was veeeeeery tight and i was kind of scared to pose him, i definitely could noooooot get the head on. but good god he's so fucking pretty, i can't believe this is all mine forever ;w;
i did end up pulling him apart to restring him, and oh my god i am so impressed with df-h's attention to functionality and detail
there's this stop here on the torso, i think to keep the cord from completely coming undone if you're just changing out the head! it made the whole doll feel a lot sturdier, and the channels are narrow enough to keep the elastic knot from getting up and in the way
this is where i was REALLY impressed though:
the neck and legs have silicone protectors, the limbs are all wired and the wires are rubber capped, and the neck hook has a rubber protector too!!!
the legs are a feat of engineering. the thigh joints have these little nubs to keep the rotation in place without being too difficult to pose, the knee joints are pretty much hidden and have posing notches, and the range of motion and number of notches on the shoulder joint are craaaazy. he also arches his back rlly nicely. restringing him was an ADVENTURE and i needed help getting the last foot on, so i'm excited to see how he poses once the elastic is broken in over the next few months
