Custom Weapons a la Elina Solusvici. *Always Accepting!
“Y’know, I had this similar design in my sketchbook for a while. Glad to finally use it. I made modifications though of course, to suit you and your personality.”
Elina takes a lance from the hooks up on her shop wall, and stands before Ignis, holding the lance vertically for him to see.
“Lances are pretty easy for me to work with, so I amped it up a notch using a superalloy that was difficult to mold, but the strength easily makes up for that. An inconel blade, immune to corrosion and holds up easily to high temperatures. Usually isn’t used for weaponry, but it would be a shame not to work with it given the work you do. At the bottom of the pole, I put in a sharp obsidian gem, to make it easy to stab into the ground and make it sturdy. I can always pop that out easily though, if it’s not something you really need on it.”
Holding the lance horizontally now, she shows him the staff part, where she’d etched in various patterns, mostly looking rather damask, and brought it up a little closer. “You’ve got your leather grip right there, and if you look closer here...” Elina points to the horizontal edging of the grip, where Ignis’ name could be found.
“There you are, burned into the grip for all to see. No one can try to claim what isn’t there, should you.. I dunno, misplace it. Not that you seem the type to do so.” Elina pokes fun, friendly smile on her face, but quickly shakes her head to get back on topic. “So, what do you think? We can go outside and you can play with it a little, if you’d like. Make sure it feels comfortable.”
