Freedom Of Choice Devo Released May 16 1980 So this is Devo's 3rd album and it contains the big hit "Whip It". I had this cassette tape growing up but really only listened to Whip It. After playing the whole album I get it. I think the songs are great, the vocals are ok, not too crazy about the phrasing of the songs but musically I like them. They are more electronic than say The Cars, but so much as say The B-52's. For me I think it is their use of the lead guitar in songs that win me over on this album.
