what do the numbers mean? eg. you tagged my post with 2759, you have other posts tagged with that same hyperspecific 4 digit number but... does it have a meaning?
Ah, it's a ship name for Tsuna/Gokudera from Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Tsuna = 27 because tsu sounds like 2 in English; and na as in nana, which is one way to say 7 in Japanese. The manga often assigns these numbers to Tsuna (as well as sight gags about tuna fish). Then Gokudera = 59 because go is 5 in Japanese and ku/kyū is 9. He also gets assigned 59 visually in the manga.
Tsuna is to be the tenth head of an Italian mafia family, which he doesn't find out until he's 14. Gokudera has a tragic backstory that makes it so he's not respected as a full member of the Vongola Famiglia, but he's told if he assassinates Tsuna, he'd be eligible to become Decimo (tenth, in Italian). But Gokudera ends up being saved from his own explosives by Tsuna, at which point he pledges his life and devotion to "Juudaime" (tenth, in Japanese).
IIRC, Gokudera exclusively refers to Tsuna as Juudaime (at least in early years...there's...time travel), and fights other people to be his righthand man, meanwhile Tsuna wants them to be friends on equal footing, and doesn't want to be the mafia head.
2759 is my fav KHR pairing, but the more popular one is 5980/8059. (80 is Tsuna's friend Yamamoto, who Gokudera views as a rival for being Tsuna's righthand man. Ya = an older way to say 8; ma = maru, one way to say 0). Most of the main ensemble ships in KHR are numbered like this.
