Rufus smiles without turning his head. He knew from the gait who it was, and with Reno this close, there's no mistaking him. He smells like home. His touch is familiar.

Besides, no one other than Reno would dare presume this much familiarity with him. He drinks in the contact in quiet for a couple of minutes, basking in the knowledge that Reno is here and not going anywhere anytime soon if he has his way.

Eventually he turns his head to capture Reno's lips. He can't get enough of him since his return.

Misfortune has taken a liking to the fighter, for her journey thus far has been naught but perilous. Rest --of the soul and body is just out of reach, deceivingly attainable yet fleeting and unsure. This time, Tifa was certain her journey would end; though not as nicely as she had hoped.

She had ventured too far from the others, and is struggling to bear the fiend's inflictions. Her mind is becoming hazy, and the edges of her vision are blurred with confusion. A knee falls to the floor and a dull ache encapsulates her leg. Ill-equipped, the fighter had run out of potions. She attempts to survey the area, in hopes of finding a chance to escape. When she looks back however, the creature had cast a limb in her direction and the fighter is convinced that this is the end.

           On the run. That’s what Zack and Cloud have been doing year after year, at least this time Zack had a better idea in getting into Midgar. As they travelled a long way on the truck something suddenly stopped the vehicle, a black helicopter with a male with red hair standing in the way. Zack cursed under his breath as he started to jump out of the truck.

             ❝ Stay right here, Cloud. I’ll be back. ❞

           With that the raven jumped out of the back and faced the Turk. Great. It was just his luck to run into the Turks. Instead of bringing ShinRa soldier’s to face him they had to bring in the Turks. They always seemed to get the dirtiest of jobs. Was Tseng really going to try and fight Zack head on with his men? It would be the biggest mistake he could have ever made.

Aerith knew that, someday, she would have to go to Hojo’s lab. It had been IMPOSSIBLE to escape this for a longer period. She had agreed to follow Tseng, but it was because she had wanted to protect Marlene, just like Tifa had asked. She didn’t regret a thing; she had always put other people’s needs before hers. And anyway, Hojo wouldn’t torture her; he just wanted to use her, to experiment on her probably, too. But for now, she was trapped in a glass cage, and he was no where to be found; he was probaly getting things prepared. It wasn’t as he would tell her his plan, anyway.

When she heard someone enter the lab, she thought it was Hojo coming back, but her heart almost skipped a beat when she noticed it was Reno. They hadn’t seen each other since the day Cloud had fallen in her church. He had also attacked Sector 7 recently, with Rude, and from the way he looked, it seemed that he had been quite injured in the process, too. Maybe it was well deserved... but she was also so glad to see him, so RELIEVED.

When he talked though, she shook her head. “Oh yeah, you’re leaving me here.” She insisted as she frowned, putting her hands together. “I don’t want you to be in trouble because of me.” A part of her wished she could follow him, of course, but she knew it was better if she didn’t.
