RAY BIRTH CHART

Inner Planets/Luminaries Since the Sun + Moon are not planets, they are referred to as the luminaries. These placements are also collectively referred to as personal placements, as they deal more with specific personal aspects, and the outer planets deal more with large group things.

Sun: Ego - Base Personality - Overarching Identity - Building Block for All Else

Sun in Aries: Ruled by Mars and represented by the Ram, Aries is the first sign of the zodiac. Traditionally, the beginning of the Aries season was the beginning of the New Year and the start of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. Aries represents new beginnings, fresh starts, and the fiery spark of initiating new things! Aries Sun is always curious to try new things and see what happens. The big red button may have a sign that says “do not press this button” however, how will we know what happens if we don’t press it? Aries’ impulsiveness can lead to great discoveries, as well as not so great consequences. It’s important for Aries Sun to take a step back and gather more information before leaping into the unknown. Aries’ sense of adventure helps to push themselves out of their comfort zone, and they love pushing others in the same way! If you befriend an Aries Sun, they’ll encourage you to go for it and do the thing. Their enthusiasm can be infectious, but also remember to put a plan behind actions so that fun fiery spark doesn’t burn out or blow up!

Aries Sun develops positively by letting them experience things by doing them. When an Aries is curious about something, they want to find the answers themselves. They’ll accept information from others as part of learning - but they won’t accept others telling them what to believe. They need to make their own discoveries and draw their own conclusions personally. Moon in Aries: Ruled by Mars and represented by the ram - fire moons think fast and feel fast. Emotions come in quickly, process, and burn out just as fast. These are quick problem solvers - connecting dots and reaching conclusions as quickly as possible. This can be good for situations that require quick solutions, however this can mean making decisions without fully weighing every possibility and potentially missing elements of a situation and therefore other possible solutions. Aries Moon reacts to the world with enthusiasm and dynamic energy. They find their own pace and if others can’t keep up with it, that’s their loss. There’s a natural assertiveness and leadership quality here. Even if not actively trying to be a leader or authority, people naturally view them as such. Fiercely independent, Aries Moon is fueled positively by having space to indulge their whims without being instructed by others. They love to be of help and thrive best in environments where their quick thinking and problem-solving can be put to good use.

Aries Moon is fueled negatively by situations where they must sit still, delay conclusions, and follow instruction by an authority. They get restless and agitated in such environments.

Mercury in Taurus: Ruled by Venus and represented by the Bull, Taurus is known for its easy and careful speed, which comes in handy in the planet of knowledge, thought, and communication. Taurus Mercury takes time to gather, absorb, and process new information. They don’t want to miss any details and therefore do not appreciate information given in abrupt or limited ways. If there’s a subject that fascinates them, Taurus Mercury will thoroughly read books, articles, and watch videos on the topic with deep concentration. They can become experts in a topic, though they will take the time necessary to do so. People who can’t hold a conversation or have shallow interests will bore Gemini Venus and they’ll quickly move on to more interesting people. When it comes to romantic relationships, good looks only go so far, as they need the intellectual stimulation to keep the mood going. These people are known to be social butterflies, keeping a large social circle with a variety of people from different walks of life. They can’t stand only being surrounded by one type of person. They value and need people with different backgrounds, thoughts, and world-views to keep them intrigued.

Mars in Aries: Ruled by Mars and represented by the Ram - Aries is at home in Mars resulting in confident, quick, dynamic action. These people do not like to sit still - they have so much energy wanting to get out that being still feels like a chore. Always on the go, this is a great placement for people who are athletic or do any job that involves a lot of physical labor. Without an outlet for this energy, they can become restless and impulsive. Prone to both adventure and fighting in youth, these are the kids who always came home with scraped knees and black eyes. As adults, Aries Mars does best when able to channel their energy into projects. Aries is cardinal fire with cardinal energy being initiator energy. Aries is also the first sign of the zodiac, initiating the astrological new year. Aries Mars leads people into new endeavors with enthusiastic energy. Everyone around them needs to put that energy to good use as Aries fire can be blown out as quickly as it can flare up. Aries Sun + Aries Moon: This double Aries combination shows strong bursts of energy, sky-high enthusiasm and optimism, as well as the potential for a short temper. He’s either at 100% or 0% and there’s no in-between. As long as those around him are fueling his energy, it will stay up for a long time. However, if others around him aren’t adding to his energy, it can burn out quickly. Balancing his energy is important to keep him from burning out or acting on reckless impulses. His friends will never have to guess where they stand with him, as Aries is all about being direct and open. He expresses himself without beating around the bush or sugar-coating his words.

Taurus Mercury + Gemini Venus + Aries Mars: This combination values a practical and direct approach to communication and getting things done. While Ray has a lot of high energy placements in his chart, Taurus helps him slow down and take things at a more steady pace. Gemini and Aries continue to emphasize directness, so while he may not be as sharp and pointed in his communication or actions as he would be if his Mercury were in a fire or air sign, he still values people being direct to the point and clear about what they want to convey. Jupiter in Capricorn: This is a very grounding placement that brings a seriousness to the person no matter how otherwise jovial they can be. Capricorn Jupiter sets high goals and builds well structured plans to get there. They take responsibilities very seriously and are very reliable - this placement is great for people in positions of authority. They also make for studious learners and advanced scholars, being able to patiently take the time to learn and master a topic or skill. Capricorn Jupiter seeks tangible solutions and implemetable plans - being able to pull ideas and resources to make things into reality brings great growth and luck to Capricorn Jupiter.

Capricorn is also a sign known for being sociable and especially hospitable. Capricorn Jupiter does well pulling together groups of people for both work and play. They can oversee a workplace or group project as well as host fun social gatherings and parties. The type of event, of course, depends on the exact person’s interests and lifestyle. They also make wonderful hosts for others to casually visit. Since Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, Ray’s Aries Saturn shows the importance of taking initiative. If he wants to do something, he will find better results in getting things started himself rather than asking others and waiting for them to get things started for him. While he may have reliable people around him who will do things he asks them to do, the process will go much smoother and more along the lines of his ideas if he takes those first steps.

Saturn: Responsibility - Discipline - Karma

Saturn in Aries: Represented by the Ram, the fire sign Aries is known for charging full steam ahead in all of their pursuits. When it comes to Saturn’s life lessons, those with Aries Saturn face lessons around burnout as well as leaping without looking. Aries wants to tackle challenges, which isn’t a bad thing at all IF there is a plan behind that attack. Uranus in Aquarius: Aquarius is naturally at home in Uranus - this is where innovation, rebellion, and change are at their strongest. Independence of mind is incredibly important here. Thoughts and ideas need a secure space to run freely and be entertained and developed. Revolutionary developments to technology, social structure, humanitarian outreach, and media in all forms can be expected. The last time Uranus was in Aquarius was from January 1996 to March 2003 - a time of massive, rapid development in technology and social networking that set the foundations for the technology and social media we have today. Before that, Uranus was in Aquarius February 1912 to April 1919 a time when transportation technology was rapidly developing around new innovations with automobiles and aeroplanes. Aquarius is already ruled by Uranus, but in traditional astrology before Uranus was discovered and researched, Aquarius was ruled by Saturn. Aquarius’ duality comes from Saturn’s serious nature and Uranus’ rebellious nature. With Ray’s Aries Saturn, the innovative side of Aquarius is emphasized. He can easily think of many innovative ways to restructure society, the question comes down to being able to implement those changes.

Neptune: Dreams - Magic - The Subconscious

Neptune stays in one sign for 14 years.

Neptune in Capricorn: “Neptune is the planet of dissolving boundaries and Capricorn is the sign of structure. Capricorn Neptune steps up to take charge of drawing the boundaries between reality and illusion, even if other boundaries need to be destroyed to draw the new ones. Flaws in the fundamental structures of reality are highlighted. Simply saying something is a certain way doesn’t make it so, and the Capricorn Neptune generation understands this. They understand that wishing on stars only does so much, and the rest is up to them. Those who choose to use magic and divination work best with methods that involve tangible items such as tarot cards, block dice, and other such tools. Sagittarius pulls forward philosophical questions and the search for “truth” in life.
