Okay. So, in the beginning, there were humans. With humans, came fear. And fear birthed Devils.

Darkness, Falling, Death, Control, Beasts etc. These devils and more who were there at the beginning were Natural Devils. Born from the unknown and uncontrollable world.

Then came man's harnessing of Fire and a new breed of Devil would arise from the fear of Humanity's own works. The Artificial Devils. Eldest among this new breed was Torch Devil, who would watch as Spear, Arrow, Axe, and Sword be born from the ingenuity of Man.

From the moment of Torch's birth, there would be tension and conflict between the Natural and Artificial Devils. The Naturals would look down on the Artificials and they would covet the power of the Naturals.

Eventually, Torch had enough of his siblings plight and rallied a crusade on the world of humans. This would lead to the five points of the Pentagram being formed on Earth and the Devil Nation being founded.

So... In the same AU where my Devil nation exists, I wanted to expand on the nature of Devils themselves. And that was realized as the concept of Imps and Hounds.

Hounds and Imps are to Devils what Canines and Primates are to Humans. First is tangentially related to the other two while the second is, admitedly, hard to distinguish from the latter.

In that Hounds are identified by their smart but not sentient behavior and canine four-legged build. And Imps... Imps are just mini devils. But what really distinguishes these two species from Devils is that, while there can only be one Devil per fear, there are more than one hounds and Imps for that same fear. So... There can be multiple chainhounds and imps.

The thing about Hounds and Imps is that they, as siblings of sorts to their Devil, are unquestionably and naturally loyal to said devil whose fear they share. Which could mean that these creatures are seen accompanying their devil or carrying out their will.

As to where Imps and Hounds come from... They could be spawn from the Devil itself; Hounds could be spawned specifically from the Canine Devil; or they could spontaneously manifest like the rest of the Devils.
