This is kind of an offshoot from my previous "The Arcana should have had more horror" post but I also feel that while the current style is iconic in its own right, I sometimes wish that the art direction was a little more "alt" if that made sense? If there was a little more gothic and surrealist elements considering how much of the lore and aesthetic of the game is based on mysticism and occult practice

Funnily enough my main example is the design and conceit of Devil Nadia. Her design? Flawless, no notes. But it would've been really interesting if they took the whole Devil Nadia stuff into a more eldritch concept. Have her visibly and slowly loose her humanity to the point she forgets ever being mortal once. Show her slowly succumbing to the power of the Devil and revitalising his original plans once more,,

I just think it would be fun if the game leaned more heavily into its influences from mysticism and the occult
