It used to happen to me in french as well SO. I can't judge, we can't know EVERY words in a langage. But actually my problem is more that I don't understand expressions, liek I understand them in a too literal way and I'm like 'what the fuck??' xD I thanks the gods that my translation website is able to translate expressions (obviously not talking about google translate which is like, the worst thing EVER).
