13 Songs on Repeat Tag
Thank you, @latveriansnailmail, for the tag! These are 13 songs that have been (mostly) on repeat for me recently. To be fair, I mostly listen to my playlists on shuffle, but there are a decent number of songs that I get an itch for and keep returning to. Prepare for some very eclectic tastes. In no particular order, they are as follows:
Ionia by Lycia - The haunting drone in this one is just perpetually stuck in my head recently. I can't explain the obsession with this one otherwise, because I've known it for quite a while, but I've just been mega interested in it lately.
Exit Music (For A Film) by Radiohead - An orchestral version of this song plays in one of my favorite movies of recent years, Fresh.
i think about you all the time by Deftones - One of the new-ish songs from Deftones that I've enjoyed a lot.
Love You to Death by Type O Negative - Some weird personal lore on this song: I associate it heavily with a particular favorite time in my life, and these days, I associate it with this dreamy, nostalgic sort of idea of what my life might look like now if I did things different based on the knowledge I have now. Wistful. Bittersweet. Playing at least once a day, probably.
La ragione, il cuore, l'amore (Ver. 5) by Ennio Morricone - Just a really pretty song from the soundtrack of The Love Witch.
Hopeless and Beaten by Korn - One of the new-ish songs from Korn that I've enjoyed a lot. It feels a little bit like some of their older stuff to me, which I think is why I like it so much.
Who Is She? by I Monster - This is one of my go-to songs when I'm low confidence and need a little bit of a boost. I yearn to be haunting and mysterious, I suppose. :B
I Want to Live (Classical Ver.) by Borislav Slavov - I played Baldur's Gate 3 for the first time last year and have been obsessed ever since. This has been a nice little focus song for me.
Eyes on Fire by Blue Foundation - hoah hoah hoah hoah
Κοκτέιλ (Kokteil) by Nalyssa Green - I am currently in the process of learning Greek, and one of the things I frequently like to do when learning languages is find good music in those languages. This is one of my Greek favorites that I've found. If I understand it correctly, it's about comparing a lover to a cocktail (but anyone is absolutely free to correct me on that).
The Promise by When In Rome - im sorry but im just thinkin of the right words to say (i promise you) i know they dont sound the way i plan them to be (i promise you)
You in the Glass by Devics - Devics is a criminally underrated band that I think everyone interested in bands like Mazzy Star and Lush should listen to. Pretty much every song of theirs is good stuff.
Boadicea by Enya - I'm still a Lord of the Rings-loving hippie at the end of the day. This is my preferred song for witching around.
I'm going to tag @chartreuseowl-blog, @thestarsareundecided, and @ghostly-noodle! Let me see what you guys have been listening to/have had stuck in your head lately! c:
I am looking for more mutuals on here, too, now that I'm more active again, so feel free to follow me if you come across this post and think our tastes/interests line up. <3
