Hey everyone! I cannot thank you all enough for your support on the interest check!! 💞 Reading everyone’s replies and hashtags and everything made me so excited! As such, from now on I’ll be cataloguing the game’s progress through these developer logs! Let’s start by getting into how they’ll work, and then we can get into the game’s progress so far!
Developer logs won’t be posted everyday, but they’ll always be posted around 3PM EST. I’ll post a dev log whenever there’s significant progress on the game (ideally once a week :)). I’ll tag all of them with “#kennas dev logs” so if you follow me and don’t want to see this, that’s the tag you can block ^v^ (or look out for, if you do want to see them!). Dev logs will cover stuff like what I’m working on now, what’s up next, and any hurdles I come across.

What’s Finished:

What’s in Progress:
Hawks’ sprites! [Currently in the sketch phase, deciding his poses, outfits, and expressions! Once his sprites are done, I’ll share some teasers so you guys can get an idea of the art style ;D]
General story ideas [different starts and endings, scene ideas, etc.]
What’s Next:
Finishing up Hawks’s sprites
Outlining the flow of the story [what starts lead to what endings, scenes defined by choices, etc]
GUI and style of the game itself
Current Hurdles:
Right now, the biggest hurdle is learning how to customize the GUI to look the way I want, and learning what each label in Renpy correlates to what visual in the GUI. I have plenty of resources, it’ll just take some time! :)

Dnd 5e has classes. We’re changing these. Instead of classes, we now have weapon types. each weapon type has their own unique ability and they all level up to 20. ‘Multiclassing’ is not possible. however, you can change your weapon type at any time. At this point in development it’s unclear whether you keep your current character level when you switch. The individual weapon you choose is analogous with your subclass.
Either the amount of weapons available in the shooter type will decrease or we will make our own weapons for the other types, we want to make sure that the amount of weapons you can choose for each.
