Devastating Injury
6 weeks ago I went for a pretty normal layup and ended up in hospital for 4 days. It has taken me this time to finally watch the footage of the injury, so I thought I would share with you all in case your interested, or at least for a little bit of sympathy 😋

My ankle before surgery:
They had to cut me out of my favourite shoes (well not anymore)
Spent 4 frustrating days in hospital.
Still got another 6 weeks before I can even put any weight back on my ankle. Due to my injury and the bone (subtalar) that I dislocated out of my body, there is a risk the blood flow will not return to the bone, meaning it would be soft instead of hard, and if pressure is put on it it could collapse, causing arthritis and many other problems. Essentially ending my BBalling days. Also now I have this gnarly scar 🤗
So fun times ahead. Can’t wait to get back on the court 🤞 Missing the game
