Update On My Life
I’m a fucking mess right now and so stressed. There is a reason that I am 20 and do not have a license, and within three days, I am struggling to acquire it so that I can get the car of my dreams.
Let’s start from the beginning: My shift changed. I now work Tues-Sat. I have Sunday/Monday off. I start at 10 PM and get off at 6:30 AM. I now have to ride the train from work in the morning and my brother drops me off via car at night. My brother also works graveyards but also has class at 10 AM and then at 1-2 PM.
This whole situation is a nightmare, honestly. Well, my last day off, my mum and I go to a car dealership because we can’t continue. We’re looking around and we see this mustard yellow 2014 Kia Soul by the service center. And I asked her, “You think we could look at that one?” To which she said no because someone likely owned it and needed work done.
Well, fast forward six minutes, a sales guy comes out, we chat, he asks me what I want, looks at me crazy, and then we start talking about car colors. I made a joke about ol’ mustard yellow over there and he says that he has no idea why its there. Fast forward 20 minutes, it’s 13,995$, I get an interest rate of 2.9% and 226$ monthly payment for 72 months, and 1500$ down payment (I wouldn’t go above it). I am a first time buyer BUT they can’t sell to me because I don’t have a license.
So I have been pushing my anxiety to the side and rushing to get this license and now I have to go in tomorrow at 4:30 PM, and I am honestly so stressed out right now.
