for those who’ve been following what’s been going on with my life for the past month, my mother had a hemorrhagic brain stroke on Friday 21/12/2018. 

after 2 expensive af surgeries and a not-so-expensive one (doctor made last one for free so all we had to pay was operating room and drainage kit, thank u doc) that were done for her to drain the blood acumulated in her head. Blood is almost gone now, but thing is that she’s still draining fluid even though there’s no blood left, so an internal valve needs to be installed in order to help her drain fluids in all her days to come!!! the goal is 4000$ this time, we can do dis!

we’re so close to having her stable again!!! please help us out!! i miss her so much!!!! 😭 i just wanna hug her again and tell her everything will be okay, god sake :( please

Your traumatic life experiences don’t give you the right to tell others to die, especially over fiction you don’t like.

You being mentally ill especially gives you no fucking right to wish or tell others to die over fucking fiction.

You don’t get any special treatment or excuses to treat others like shit and basically subhuman because of your sexuality, skin color, gender, life experiences, mental disorders, or just because you’re having a fucking bad day!

The studies done by the trained psychologists in this joke show that little kids don’t associate being hit with the thing they’ve done wrong. Very small children only understand consequences that are directly caused by the thing they did. Steal a biscuit, biscuit tastes good. Then for no reason mummy hit me. Very different to stole a biscuit, now no biscuit after dinner because I stole a biscuit.

And they also show that when a child is old enough to understand why they are being hit that non-physical punishment is equally as effective and less mentally harmful in the long run.

Do you know who benefits the most from hitting as a punishment? The parent. It gives a satisfaction rush. Parents do it because it makes them feel good.

Basically kids have two stages: too young to understand why they are being hit so physical punishment is useless for anything other than teaching a child that bigger stronger people can hit you whenever they like (Which sounds like the same lesson you would learn from abuse)

And the second stage is old enough to be reasoned with so many punishment options are available and you chose physical violence because it makes *you* feel better, which is an abusive action.

According to the company, the tampons are unraveling or coming apart upon removal. In some cases, users have had to seek medical attention to remove tampon pieces left in the body.

The recall affects tampons manufactured between October 7, 2016 and October 16, 2018. They were distributed from October 17, 2016 to October 23, 2018, according to Kimberly-Clark.com.

Symptoms of the defect include pain, swelling, infections, nausea or vomiting. There have been a small number of reports of infections and injury, according to the company.

Anyone with the affected products are urged to stop using the product immediately and contact Kimberly-Clark’s Consumer Service team at 1-888-255-3499.

The Tennessee Supreme Court ruled former sex slave Cyntoia Brown MUST serve 51 years in prison before she is eligible for parole.

According to them:

“In today’s unanimous decision, the Tennessee Supreme Court explained that, under state law, a life sentence is a determinate sentence of 60 years,” the court wrote. “However, the sixty-year sentence can be reduced by up to 15 percent, or 9 years, by earning various sentence credits (good behavior. & getting involved in prison based education programs while incarcerated) Therefore, the Supreme Court concluded that a defendant serving a life sentence for a first-degree murder committed on or after July 1, 1995, may be eligible for release after serving at least 51 years of the sentence.“

For those of you who haven’t yet caught up to this story:

Cyntoia Brown was a 16 yr old girl, who at the time of the incident was living in a room at a Nashville InTown Suites with Allen (the man who propositioned her for sex) because her pimp and boyfriend Garion McGlothen, nick-named “Kut Throat,” insisted that she needed to earn money.

Kut Throat abused her physically and sexually throughout the approximately three week period in which she lived with him.

After Allen took her to his house, he showed Cyntoia multiple guns, including shotguns and rifles. Later in bed, as she described in court, he grabbed her violently by the genitals, his demeanor became threatening and, fearing for her life, she took a gun out of her purse and shot him.

man i really am tired of having to do this, but i literally just do not make enough money to get by, even with my boyfriend’s help and I have to deal with ANOTHER overdraft fee, but instead of $35 like it’s been for a while it was $140 and I do not want to end the day negative again and continue to get charged. I got sent some money by friends and users here, so my amt is only at $-71. I just paid rent the other day and haven’t gotten paid yet, so I’ve been floating on with no safety cushion in the form of savings.

I’m working full time, I’m looking for a new job, and my expenses are mostly for transportation, even moreso than food! I don’t have a car and the bus system where I live is incredibly exhausting and annoying to navigate.
