#deva worship

i’m a lay buddhist and hellenic polytheist (bodhi-devotee! get it?), aka grecobuddhist! to me, that means viewing the gods as powerful & ancient forces that can be worshipped and called upon, but cannot fully liberate us from suffering. my true refuge is the buddha and dharma, and my salvation is the middle way. the Theoi aid in and enrich my life, but not like the teachings of the Buddha do.

i utilize this blog as a journal (with the perk of community!) i mainly post/reblog musings about my faiths, altar & offering pictures, UPG + historical facts surrounding hellenic polytheism and greco buddhism, and related art! i love having discussions. you can filter through my blog with my tag guide below :)

religion aside, i have an AMAZING wife who i live in awe of every day! i work as a massage therapist. my favorite hobby is weightlifting/powerlifting followed by writing. my unironic gender identity is dyke, but you can reference me as butch or masc if that’s more comfortable! (it can’t be understated that the term ‘dyke’ was coined and championed by the black american community, as is the case for many pivotal aspects of queer culture. any racism is intolerable, but anti-blackness in the queer community in light of this fact is especially heinous. unpack it and put it to rest.) i have a crested gecko named banana bread, poodle named bee, and a fursona named neptune - @starseeker-neptune
