It was actually a constructed shot, but the way I would do that type of thing is I would let everybody get inside the scenario, set up my lights to where I thought it was appropriate, and then I would allow them to try to get drunk. Then they would go about their business of being spontaneous, drunk as they were, and I would make pictures. It wasn't just floating in the room, but creating the room with improvised spontaneity within it."
