ā Ā five times my muse thought about hitting yours, and the one time they did.
Ā Ā Ā Ā ( one. ) jo has never had to tryĀ to get along with someone before, itās the strangest thing heās ever experienced. heās never had a problem getting along with people before. he fit home almost instantly in college, and training, as a beat cop heād ben fine and in homicide ā well getting along with layla santos was easy. but it took one lookĀ at the smiling face that greeted him when the captain introduced him to conclude that⦠yeah noā¦. he wanted to punch the guy in the damned face. but he mimicked the smil, held out his hand and introduced himself anyway.Ā ā joseph chambers. the pleasureās all mine detective mason. āĀ
( two. ) itās about three am and its certainly the first time that someone else has stayed up this early with him when thereās not a case that needs solving. joās sorting through the cold cases and for some goddamned reasons that he doesnāt understand why james mason has decided to stay with him. the guyās trying to play nice, but all it takes is one offhanded comment about one of the elderly male citizens that had been considered as a subject for jo to get up from his seat and just walk away. because all heād wanted in that comment was to make his fist collided with the other detectiveās jawline. because what kind of bastard accused people that were already clearedĀ ? a family man too.. that had already fucking diedĀ ? did he not understand basic civilityĀ ? there were other fuckign suspects too⦠( or not⦠thatās why the case was cold though wasnāt it ).Ā
( three. ) james is ā dangling coffee over his desk, and usually while he wouldnāt mind it, and joke with him about it even⦠heās not in the mood for it right now.Ā ā james pleaseā¦ā Ā he mutters, leaning back in his seat and just as he does so the other moves the cup a little too far and ā goddamnit. thereās coffee all over the papers that he has on his desk andĀ ā FUCK YOU JAMES. ā he mutters, getting up quickly and pulling the papers from the desk and grabs at the otherās tie pulling him in. mad. but he takes a breath and lets go, shaking his head a bit,Ā ā youāre fucking doing all this paperwork for me. ā he putters, shoving the stack off coffee soaked papers in jamesā chest and walking back to get a cup for himself.
( four. ) itās become very evident that james has no idea how to move boxes.Ā ā james buddy, james⦠thatās uh⦠ā how many times have james fucking moved ? it couldnāt be the first time but jo was having a rather fun time watching him. that was until james dropped a fucking box on his foot. which results in jo grabbing the nearest pillow and chucking it at the otherās face. a laugh escaping him, if he could he would have pushed him back, probably pushed him in the shoulder for good measure so he could feel the pain of the boxās weight.Ā ā get this damned thing off my fucking foot you. ā he muttered, as they both reached back down to pick up the box, and get back to work.
( five.Ā ) he didnāt mean to say the word but it just kind of slipped out. he can see the anger on jamesā faces the minute it slips and heās too late to take a step back. he feels punch more than takes it. itās a sharp pain in his jaw, and then a hell of a lot of disorientation, heās bit on his tongueĀ hard enough for it to start bleeding... eyesĀ blazing. jo looks up... Ā and he feels his fist collide with jamesā stomach. not that it solves anything. because heās pretty sure all heās done is start a fucking fist fight in the middle of the fucking precinct.Ā
