Sevagoth: Overpowered, Underutilized
I have been Sevagaming for several months now, and as a connoisseur of all things Warframe I must say: this particular Warframe is built different. I used to be a big fan of NovaUmbral, but before he went a bit loony and started uploading Pokémon content, he made a video about Sevagoth. He pretty much shit all over the poor frame, as this was before the excellent and mandatory augment mods came out. This video was recently uploaded to his alt account (to make room for the aforementioned Pokémon videos) and it made me realized how much Sevagoth is still slept on. He had abysmal play % as reported by the 2024 Global Community Stats, a combined (between regular and primed versions) 0.92% of usage.
Let's outline why this is fucking dumb:
With Pillage (yeah I know) subsumed over his third ability, Gloom (Honestly better on other frames), and running (Primed) Redirection + Adaptation, you have essentially solved his squishyness. Note: Stripping defenses only increases weapon damage, as the True Damage Reap + Sow does completely ignores Armor and Shields. Modding for 190% range by using Overextend + 5 Tauforged Crimson shards for an additional 75% power strength to make up for the hit from Overextend, Reap + Sow will fucking annihilate every enemy in sight. On top of this, the Sow augment, Dark Propagation will spread Sow on any enemies nearby, scaling with range, with Overextend you get 28.5 meters. Now combined with Reaps augment, Shadow Haze, you get a new shadow spawned, up to 3, that roam around reaping. This also has the side benefit of making Sevagoth an amazing weapon platform, giving a big critical chance bonus, scaling with strength. I run 274% by using Blind Rage + Molt Augmented.
Now, if this sounds energy intensive, it is. This is the biggest drawback and what killed my initial try of using the above combo when the augments first came out. Arcane Energize combined with several energy orb generators now allow me to spam my abilities when needed. The energy stack is as follows:
1. Dethcube + Energy Generator, paired with Verglas (and optionally a riven) + Duplex Bond to clone it so it gets even more assists. This works because you are spending so much energy you almost always have a bunch of these little bastards killing enemies and generating energy orbs.
2. Tenet Glaxion + Photon Overcharge to generate orbs, and the Tenet Glaxion is set to Impact damage and Primary Exhilarate to give energy regen when shooting at enemies. This is more of an emergency option for when you are almost out of energy.
3. Good ol' Zenurik.
With these, you basically have infinite energy, and thus can maintain your shields and you can nuke as much as you want. I know I kinda answered my question of why you need a fucking degree in ghost physics to make any sense of him but it's simple: Energy in, Death/Shields out. Keep your energy up and you can keep killing and living. I would recommend picking up a Rakta Dark Dagger as an emergency shield regen option for when you don't wanna die and are low on energy and shields.
If anyone is even remotely interested I can post some captura photos of my fashion. If you do pick him up as a result of reading this let me know!
Sevagoth Build:
Glaxion Build: (Ignore the riven, put whatever you want there)
Dethcube Build:
Verglas Build: (Again, ignore the riven)
