                                     No matter what 

“Cayde are you alright?” Valkyrie asked while she walked over to the hunter vanguard. “No… and not in the mood to talk…” his voice bow cracked and he took a swig of his drink. The Norse speaking exo plopped down next to him and put an arm around him. “Are you sure? You know you can always come to me when you are having trouble” Her accent heavy at the last bit of her sentence. Cayde looked at the female exo then at his drink deciding to discard the beverage to spend time with his love. “Do you think Pandora is right?” confused by what he was asking she says. “About what Cayde?” Cayde sighs softly deciding to put his walls down and just spill it to her. “Every time I date a girl I seem to mess up a lot…maybe it’s just me missing my wife and first born son…” Taking in a breath to control him from sobbing “I don’t know… I’m lost” Valkyrie scooted closer to him, placing an arm around him. “Cayde we all miss someone close to us… I know personally…and there are things we all have to work on in life” Cayde listened closely as his love continued. “For instance… I have to work on dealing with my night terrors and stubbornness…Pandora well she not only has to deal with her daughter being controlled by Oryx, but of the also the memories of a person who took advantage of her when she was young…” Cayde’s heart dropped when he heard that last part. “How did Yo-” The Norse exo’s face plates lifted into a somber smile. “She only tells people she knows and trust like family Cayde” Valkyrie sighed tiredly and continued her wise little speech. “ As I was saying… yes we do have our problems… but looks at us… we stand strong for those around us… and remember no matter what… I always love you Cayde” She finishes, kissing his horn and the two sat together watching the sun go down.
