I have really shit artblock right now so I wanted to try something different and draw something for my favourite band. Not sure how I entirely feed about it but at least I finished something. Bought tickets to see them in October. i hope the border opens up so I am actually able to go haha! I just really love them ok
so, i do have a question actually - what do camab and cafab mean based on their original meaning? i understand these women coined them based on their feelings about their relationships with gender but i can't quite understand what it means, because since i was small i have never exactly felt like i'm trans, but i am a man, but i'm afab, does that make sense? i have always been confused about how to explain this or how to express it, and i feel - based on a couple of things i saw, that cafab fits me because as i understand it - thats exactly what it means, but i dont want to use terms that arent for me if im wrong or i'm misunderstanding its meaning
iirc the "coercively" part just highlights how sex/gender is an oppressive and restrictive system of social categorization that serves as a tool of the status-quo, and infants being assigned a sex/gender at-birth is arguably a way in which that violence is carried out. that's the best i can explain it, anyway. afaik being trans is enough reason to call oneself camab/cafab.
