My brother reminded me that today is "Desperation Day." It was from my favorite American series, How I Met Your Mother, which is the day before Valentine's when all single women (according to Barney Stinson at least) are so desperate to find someone to date the next day. Tbh, I don't care about it at all. I've been single for so long it doesn't bother me not having a date on Valentine's. I hardly remember I've experienced a real date anyway. Haha. I browsed my memories if I have ever celebrated Vday with a guy. And the answer is no. I usually spend it with friends even I had a boyfriend for 2 years in 2011. I'm actually a little sad that I'm gonna spend it the same way this year. I'm not rushing into things, I love this single life, but at some point, I get a bit hopeless romantic thinking about how it feels to have someone to kiss, hug and cuddle on Vday. Someone who would surprise me with flowers, chocolates and other clichés from movies. Oooh I guess this Desperation Day is getting in to me huh? Haha. Okay so before I start calling every guy in my contacts and desperately beg them to date me, HAPPY BITTERSWEET VALENTINE'S DAY TO YOU!
