Partner Spotlight: I&CO Design alliance
By So Iizuka
Design often hides in plain sight. When a user lands on a website and immediately knows where to click — that’s design. When a brand feels premium without saying it out loud — also design. And when a medical-wellness marketplace like Trambellir Sdn Bhd builds trust across borders with minimal friction — well, that’s where our collaboration with I&CO really comes in.
Headquartered in Malaysia, Trambellir operates in a delicate space: connecting people with healthcare and wellness experiences in countries they may have never visited. That requires clarity, confidence, and emotional ease from the first interaction. None of which is accidental.
Our partnership with I&CO, a global innovation and design company, has been about more than logos or layouts. It’s been about storytelling, structure, and — perhaps most importantly — creating a sense of calm in the often-stressful world of health travel.
Why we partnered with I&CO
At some point in Trambellir’s early growth, we realized we had a problem. Not a product problem. Not a logistics problem. A perception problem.
People liked the idea of booking wellness and medical treatments abroad. But the interface felt a little cold. The navigation — functional, but not friendly. It didn’t feel like care.
And that’s what health is about at its core: trust, reassurance, guidance.
We didn’t need to just upgrade the site. We needed to rethink how we showed up — across touchpoints, across cultures, across patient mindsets.
I&CO had worked with big brands around the world. But what stood out was their focus on purpose-driven innovation. They didn’t just ask what we wanted the site to look like. They asked what we wanted people to feel when using it.
That’s where the real work began.
What changed — and why it mattered
The I&CO alliance led to several tangible shifts in how Trambellir operates and presents itself:
1. Simplified, human-centered UI
Booking a treatment used to feel like booking a flight. Lots of data, little warmth. We shifted toward language that felt more like a conversation. More “how can we help you feel better?” than “select your preferred provider.”
2. Emphasis on emotional reassurance
From typography to iconography, every element was chosen to reduce friction. Health travel can be intimidating — the design now anticipates that. It softens the edges.
3. Cultural adaptability
We serve users in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. The new design framework allows local clinic listings to reflect regional tone — without losing global consistency.
4. Branding evolution
The name Trambellir comes from “Travel” + “Embellir” (to beautify). With I&CO’s input, we finally let the brand live up to that story — visually and narratively.
Design that drives trust
One of our key goals was to make invisible trust visible. For a first-time user, seeing unfamiliar clinic names in foreign cities can trigger doubt. But design — through careful layout, clean content structure, and subtle cues — can do a lot of heavy lifting.
Now, when a user views a clinic in Seoul or a hypnotherapy session in Bali, they see:
Verified provider badges
Clearly bundled service packages
Photos that reflect the actual experience
Language and interpreter support icons
Booking buttons that don’t pressure, but invite
These small shifts have added up to measurable results — longer session durations, higher booking conversion, and better feedback.
Beyond visuals: strategic co-creation
Our partnership with I&CO wasn’t a handoff. It was a dialogue. Weekly reviews, shared Notion pages, design sprints that included our operations and tech teams.
They challenged our assumptions. We questioned theirs. But what emerged was better than any of us could have built alone — a design system that’s not just beautiful, but functional for real people with real wellness goals.
Recognition and beyond
This year, we’re proud that Trambellir has been selected as a nominee for the 2025 Go Global Awards, hosted by the International Trade Council. The event will be held in London this November — a gathering not just of businesses, but of ideas and ambitions from around the world.
Our design evolution, made possible through our alliance with I&CO, is part of the reason we’re on that stage. Because when people feel safe exploring their wellness journeys, that’s not just a business win. That’s impact.
Closing thoughts
Design can be quiet. It can also be revolutionary.
In the end, what we built with I&CO isn’t just a prettier site. It’s a platform that breathes easier. That listens. That says: “We see you. We’ve thought about what you need. And we’re here to make it easier.”
That’s not just good design. That’s good care.
