I'm not going to bitch that I have a truckload of work on my table at the moment - with Fringe coming up, everyone is looking to update their costumes - but I was looking forward to using this space of time to experiment and create workable resources.
I think one of my new years resolutions will be to try and create some kind of time on a regular basis to play with my sewing, rather than pinning all my hopes to the idea of free time at the end of the year.
The thing that sucks about being crappy at design is that I have an interesting concept, but no way of translating it into something useful.

All the fuzzy little moth legs...
I'm thinking/planning/ procrastinating about doing the Foundations Revealed corsetry competition for February next year.
The theme is insects and *sigh* it feels like everything I want to play with has already been done.
So I'm trying to do some research to see if I can become inspired in other ways - like the mythology of moths. But I'm finding it very hard going.
Maybe I just need to let it percolate for a while.
