Yes, that’s pretty much what I was saying @desicritic. 😂 At the same time though, I think they’d be content just cuddling each other too. I think they’re the type of couple that just rly loves being with together.

I was super upset too @desicritic. The least he could have done was pull Barry aside and asked him privately!!

Looking back though, I think he was just reacting in the moment (like he tends to do) & was insulted on his sister’s behalf. That whole “you better treat my sister right or I'mma come after you” mentality, if you will. And when Wally saw that vibe, he understood that ringless finger the same way Iris instantly did when he announced it to the room and knew she deserved better than to be proposed to just for the sake of saving her life.

And that’s another thing. Barry could’ve easily brushed Wally off if he’d tried to confront him privately. But in front of an audience? No way. He’d have to explain himself or he’d come off looking reeeeally suspicious. The only other way around it would be talk up Wally like he was crazy and even when put on the spot Barry wouldn’t do that. He knew where the righteous anger was coming from and that it was probably justified.

If anything, I feel like Barry should’ve sought out Wally’s permission to re-propose to Iris maybe even more than Joe’s. By that point it prob wasn’t necessary. So much had happened and Barry had never technically mistreated Iris, so there was doubt he’d make her happy. This reply has made me think that maybe he did though, or maybe he should have…and I think maybe I’ll add it in as part of one of my missing scenes for RC. Lmao.
