"Please tell me you did not bring the Princess of Alderaan to my base!" Padmé hissed to Obi-Wan as she watched Leia like a hawk. Even if her shattered heart soared at the sight of her daughter, Leia was too young to know about the Rebellion or who Padmé herself truly was.

Rey had been entertaining herself all day with going through her grandfather’s old holo collections. A mish mash of holofilms that had been popular years ago and personal holos, Rey found it a fascinating time capsule of the Republic. “Who’s that?” Rey asked, leaning over to tug at her Grandfather’s sleeve to get his attention. She then pointed at the blonde lady in the holo who was giving a speech. “She’s beautiful.” 

a  year  had  passed  since  the  falling  of  the  jedi  order.   ahsoka  tano  reportedly  dead,  now,  the  young  togruta  was  known  simply  as  ashla.   an  inquisitor’s  blades  had  been  purified  for  new  crystals  of  her  own,  allowing  them  to  be  in  a  more  defensive  position,  the  next  time  inquisitors  came.   a  calling  to  the  force  had  led  her  here,  to  tatooine...  a  place  that  frankly,  she’d  never  wanted  to  come  to,  though  she’d  heard  about  it  from  her  former  master.   this  place  proved  it.   but  as  much  of  the  force  as  she  had  tried  to  shut  out...  this  was  a  familiar  presence,  one  that  she  had  assumed  to  be  dead.   nerves  fluttered  in  the  pit  of  their  stomach.   but  if  he  was  alive,  she  needed  to  know.   maybe  he  could  help  with  this  barely  there  rebellion  that  bail  had  recruited  her  for.

The force works in mysterious ways. That much is apparent now to Ben Solo. He remembers dying in the arms of someone he cared about. He remembers becoming one with the force for a moment so then why was he here? The bustling city of Corsucant was one unfamiliar to him -- especially in this state. The Jedi Temple off in the distance. Confusion crossed his features as he looked around -- really looked around. A lump that had formed in his throat was quickly swallowed. He knew now where he was and what certain time period it had been. Before the fall of the first jedi. The ones that his grandfather had destroyed. The feeling he felt was intense -- knowing that maybe his grandfather was here or had been here in his state of the light. He had to find him. He had to know what he was like before the fall.

He made his way towards the temple, pushing through people as he walked. His eyes were wide with amazement as he grew closer and closer. Luke Skywalker’s temple was nothing in comparison to this. Suddenly though, he felt a pull in the force. Head turning quickly to get the side profile of a man. Though he’d never met him in person, he suddenly know who he was. He was the man that he had been named after. Ben Kenobi.

The hazy, darkness Padmé found herself floating in began to fade, slowly at first, with the first thing she registered being a pain in her head that grew worse with every passing moment.

Next sounds returned, and then at last Padmé opened her eyes, squinting against the harsh lighting.

The room was white and sterile, which only confused her further. Where was she?

But then her vision cleared a bit and she saw Obi-Wan sitting beside her, and relief flooded Padmé at the familiar face.

Mel preferred not to travel these days. The restlessness in the galaxy was growing with te empire that caused it and it felt safest to stay home on Alderaan. Despite all this, she found herself having to kill some time on a planet called Tatooine. Their ship had been damaged on the way to Coruscant and was now being repaired. In the meantime she had to find something to do. It was hot. Very hot. She wasn’t used to it at all and she realized very quickly that she needed to find something to drink.

As she sat at a table in the corner of a strange, dark cantina she couldn’t help but fidget with her bracelet. She had a bad feeling about the place and a part of her wanted to hide her face. That feeling only intensified when someone else sat opposite her with a blaster in hand. The worry tightened into fear in her chest and she met the cold, almost insect-like, eyes before her.
