Amidst the silence and vacant stares of angels and saints of granite, they might find a moment of privacy sans faux piety. Adiel assists him onto an intricately carved stone bench; Lucius' hips and legs lack the vigour of his youth, and then joins him, seated beside, to watch the sun descend beyond the castle's walls. Such a breach of decorum given their station… he even dares to hold the King's hand, bringing it to his lips for a kiss.

"It shall only be a month, or two." Several, more likely.

He departs tomorrow for the northern frontier to enforce the unsettled borders. Thus, tonight, the court honours him and the soldiers, wishing them a victorious and righteous incursion. The stairs leading up to the fifth-floor aren't as daunting as one might expect from an old building in London. Just a few more steps before reaching the apartment's door — while Antonín airs old grievances concerning Nicodemo's potential issues sharing a common space with him.

"Younger..." He smirks, pointing his finger at him and all. "And dumber."

He had just recalled when twelve or thirteen-year-old Nicodemo loudly laughed at his expense for being so particular about the order of his personal effects and room. Plenty of jabs were thrown Antonín's way, too, pointing out how NO ONE would ever tolerate him — except those poor fucks who got paid to clean up after the little princeling and to wipe his conceited ass.

All of it Nicodemo's own words, of course. Antonín simply thought it fitting to be quoted for the occasion.

"What about when you called me a crazy neat freak? That was... a few months ago?"

Finally the fifth floor! He fetches the keys from his pocket and opens the apartment's door. It hasn't been visited in years; evident by the thick layer of dust gathered on every uncovered surface. "What do you think?" He doesn't wait for an answer, but quickly takes Nicodemo's hand to guide him about for the tour. "Let me show you the rest!"
