I love skating the greenway but I lose almost 2 minutes a mile in speed due to dogs, kids, navigating, etc... I feel like it’s a better work out because I have to plow stop more often, which I never do on a track. The beautiful balance is getting to see all the flowers blooming and a red cardinal that flew 6 inches from my nose today. Sometimes I just want to zone out and skate fast! With school back in session and after school sports, it’s getting harder to find tracks. The perfect sk8 session! Thank you to my momma for healing my body today so I can keep this streak of mine going! Even though she was surprised at how well my body moved. My muscles weren’t nearly as tight as they usually are. Stress does way more damage than skating every day! I stretch all the time and drink water like I’ll never have it again! I worked on carving, control, and trying use my left foot less as the dominant one.
