That’s why I hate reading/listening to those rude comments, saying how poorly they are playing despite being world champions. But you know what? Nobody fucking cares. The world championship is OVER - we are having qualifications for the EUROPEAN championship, not the wrold cup. We have a completely different team: Miroslav Klose, Phillip Lahm and Per Mertesacker have sadly retired.Bastian Schweinsteiger, Sami Khedira, Mesut Özil, Benedikt Höwedes are all injured and aren’t able to play. And fyi, they were all part of the winning squad - they played most of the time in WC. And Jogi had to replace them. Max Kruse, Karim Bellarabi, Antonio Rüdiger and Sebastian Rudy are all completely new additions to the team. They have never played together. They barely know each other. And they only had 10 days to practice together, which is nothing, really. And let’s nor forget: Marco Reus, Kevin Großkreutz, Mario Gomez, André Schürrle and Christoph Kramer. They are injured/sick and weren’t able to play today and in the previous matches. I highly doubt there is another national team with so many injured players.

But you know what, instead of “blaming” anyone for their defeat against Poland, or the draw with Ireland, let’s praise them, let’s compliment them: Let’s compliment Karim Bellarabi for playing excellently in his first two matches for the national team. He had great chances, which he sadly missed. But he play beautifully and very well.

Let’s compliment Manuel Neuer for, well, being Manuel Neuer. He is, and always will be, the best goalkeeper in the world. But he isn’t just a goalkeeper, he’s so much more - he’s a field player.

Let’s compliment Erik Durm for excellent defense against Ireland. He has saved us - if it weren’t for him, they would have probably lost. And let’s not forget the excellent shot, which sadly hit the post, at the beginning of the game. He should have scored - he deserved it either way.

Let’s compliment Mats Hummels for playing so good despite being injured for the past month or two. He had barely any training in the past few weeks and yet he defended well. Maybe he didn’t do as good as he always does, but it is completely understandable.

Let’s compliment Antonio Rüdiger for playing very, very well. He tried to score multiple times, but sadly failed. He helped, and well, successfully defended. He didn’t only defend, he tried to help his teammates score.

Let’s compliment Toni Kroos on the fucking amazing goal he had scored. The goal truly was beautiful and he had deserved many, many more.

Let’s compliment Thomas Müller who keeps on fighti no matter what. He didn’t do his best, but he tried. He tried to do his best. And he was amazing. He had some oppurtunities to score, but sadly the irish defenders were too good.

Let’s compliment Julian Draxler for trying his best and nearly scoring multiple times, despite having a cold/flu only a few days ago.

Let’s compliment Mario Götze on his desire to score and win. For his fair play and football skills. He could have gone mad, because of the denied penalty (which clearly was a penalty), but he stayed calm and continued to play and try to score.

Let’s compliment Jerome Boateng for being an amazing defender. For being fast, and faster than the oponents. For trying so hard to defend and help Manuel. For being a part of the team, without giving up.

Let’s compliment Matthias Ginter for trying hard and being as amazing as he can be. For trying to score and win the game.

Let’s compliment every single one on the team: the people on the bench, the people on the team. Everyone is important. They only need some time to grow back as a team. It’s a new team after all. And I know they will. They will come back stronger than before. They did the same thing during the world cup. They recollected themselved and picked themselves up again. And they will. There’s no doubt.
