it had been... well, a night to say the very least. nadine was still full from a dinner they had totally eaten before yelling at the reynolds family. and while they'd had wine from the restaurant, hooked up in dennis' car, it seemed that the night wasn't over. they didn't want to it to be, but they were expecting a little more pushback from him. he always loved to say something about being busy or needing space or blah blah blah, but not tonight. tonight, he actually smiles at the idea.
so nadine changes out of the stupid, ugly and uncomfortable dress they had worn to dinner, changing into some of the backup clothes that dennis always keeps in the back of their car. yeah, they're all too big on them, but it is the exact kind of wardrobe they need for an evening like this.
paddy's is empty, aside from mac behind the bar. poor guy only gets a little wave as the both of them head right for a booth towards the back. apparently alcohol was not the only thing on their minds, because they had forgotten to grab any, their first time passing the bar.
it's not until they're sitting down in the booth that nadine even realizes. "shit! shit. we gotta get the booze, den." well, they don't have to. it's obvious from how big their grin is and how they're on the edge of a giggle that it really doesn't matter at all. "do you guys keep anything to eat around here?" okay. so maybe they weren't entirely full. when were they ever? "i'm like, starving."
