     in  all  actuality,  jane  knew  they  hadn’t  seen  her.  and  even  if  they  had,  they  couldn’t  KNOW  who  she  was  at  least  not  enough  to  call  her  out  so  easily.  but  still,  it  was  shocking,  especially  since  they  seemed  so  at  EASE  having  fun.  playing  PRETEND,  in  a  larger  group  than  the  one  she  had  left  in  hawkins.  the  boy  approaches,  leaving  her  slightly  startled  that  anyone  had  cared  to  follow  her  at  all.  in  an  effort  to  look  halfway  normal,  she  widens  her  eyes,  “ me ? ”  she  makes  a  show  of  looking  at  herself,  noticing  a  bit  of  dirt  where  she  had  slid,  making  the  initial  disturbance  in  the  safari.  “ yes.  i  tripped. ”   

                   ‘ i know it seems like a lot’ve work, but it’s actually really fun. a — and worth it, once you get the hang of it, ’ mike is looking out across the table, figurines already set up for hellfire’s next campaign. he doesn’t know why he feels the need to defend himself for his favorite hobby. it’s not as if bill was judging him for liking dungeons and dragons. mike just wanted bill to like it, he supposed. he liked bill, and mike enjoyed sharing his favorite things with people he liked. that’s what it boiled down to. mike turns to glance at bill with cautious curiosity. ‘ you can... join. if you want. or you can just watch the next game to see if you like it, ’ he shrugs. ‘ whatever you want, ’     @denbroh​  ,  sc.
