Okay so I just discover the Sherlock Holmes movie with Will Ferrell. Is it any good?
I personally enjoyed the hell out of myself.Ā
Is it highbrow? No. Itās is dumb? Yes. Itās supposed to be.Ā
There are a lot of nods to canon, weirdly, that I didnāt expect and I adored those! At one point in the movie, Holmes and Watson sing a duet about how much they love and care about each other and itās not played for laughs in the way you think it would be. I love the song.
Holmes and Watson each have a fling with some ladies and thatās probably the weirdest part to me. Not because the actresses werenāt good--theyāre hilarious. Itās just the most un-Sherlock thing about the movie. But the flings have their silly twist and thatās fun.Ā
Itās a good time, to be honest. Go in expecting farts and dick jokes and shenanigans and you wonāt be disappointed.Ā
How many followers does the blog have? Why donāt you ask us for help?
Crowley: I did ask you to help! Ages ago, right when he was first missing! And what use have you been to me so far?! All you humans have going for you is that thereās a lot of you, and you still canāt seem to manage to find him! What is even the point of this blog if you canāt do this simple task?!

Source??
*waves* Iām the source! I got swamped by life and havenāt posted the pattern as I was still in the great debate over the greys, but Iām going to be working on it some over the next few days again to decide that and hopefully Iāll have it finished up! Sorry everyone waiting on the good omens pattern!
impistry reblogged your photo and added: āSent these off today before I drove out of town!ā
Mine has a proud place on my desk :D
Aaah it looks great there! <3
I think tumblr and the internet loves you two, because many people want the relationship you two share. There is silly bantering and bickering on the surface, while underneath you are soul-mates who would never be complete without each other.
(Ā womanagainsttrump said: Can I just say I love you two and this blog? I love how you answer every question be it silly or serious. I get a notification every time you post something, and every time it puts a smile on my face. But what I love the most is when you say stuff about each other, like when Aziraphale talks about stargazing with Crowley or Crowley talking about how Aziraphale is an open book to him. Your friendship is so amazing. )
Aziraphale: Oh well thank you very much dear friends! I am glad our friendship is seen so positively by your people. I donāt think itās viewed in quite the same light by ours you see...
Crowley: I always knew Iād be internet-famous if I tried. I practically invented social media after all.
Aziraphale: Did you? =O
Crowley: Well... I had a hand in it, yeah. Anyway, point is, theyāre all obsessed with us. I could just, post a message telling them all to do evil and theyād all just do it.
Aziraphale: Donāt be silly Crowley, theyāre far too sensible for that.
Crowley: Wanna bet?

What would you recommend for a first time Sherlock Holmes readers? I'm trying to find something that honors the original, but is easier to read. At the moment I'm trying to read a classic version of A Study in Scarlet, and it reads like, uh, like a high school required book. I'm cool with YA or whatever. Thanks!
Hmmm, this is a tough question because I think it depends entirely on what youāre looking for. Like if you want the focus to be on the action/adventure, the mystery, or about Holmesās personal life.Ā
I will say that the short stories are easier to read than the novels. A Study in Scarlet, The Sign of the Four, The Valley of Fear, and The Hound of the Baskervilles are all the novel length ones. The rest are shorter and a bit easier to consume.Ā
Check out this link. This is A Scandal in Bohemia, which is a little over 9,000 words. Thereās an audio version, too!
The most faithful adaptation (in film) that Iāve seen is the Granada series. You can find them on YouTube.Ā Jeremy Brett is SUCH a good Holmes!Ā Ā
To those who follow me, will you please link your preferred Sherlock Holmes adaptations? <3
Oh, Aziraphale, I hope you can forgive us humans for our evil deeds. To quote Crowley, weād be pretty boring if all we did were good deeds.
( Anonymous said: I hope you two are doing well now. Especially you, Crowley.
Anonymous said: I really am sorry that we hurt you so much, Aziraphale. Would it help if some of us told you more about food things that weāre doing? We could make that a thing if you want. )
Aziraphale: I thank you for your kind words friends, but honestly, everything is quite alright now. You are welcome to send me further good deeds if youād like, but itās not necessary. I appreciate humanity for your freedom to choose - it just brightens my day that much more when you choose to do good.
Crowley: Didnāt expect them all to care about us so much.
Aziraphale: Perhaps you need to do some thinking about your relationship with humanity as well, Crowley.
Crowley: Maybe. Iāll let these guys get used to having you back first though, then see if they worry about me as much when I disappear. Personally, I think they all just donāt think you can take care of yourself.
Hello Crowley and Aziraphale, I have a question. How well did Neil Gaiman document your adventures? Likewise, how well did David Tennant and Micheal Sheen portray yourselves? Thank you for the Armagedidnt
( Anonymous Ā asked: Yāall seen āGood Omensā? )
Crowley:Ā Iāve not watched it: IĀ lived it.Ā
Aziraphale: Ah yes, I believe that was the name they gave to the documentary they broadcast about our recent exploits.Ā
Crowley: I feel like āstopping Armageddon and defying heaven and hellā is a bit more than an āexploitā but sure.
Aziraphale:Ā I believe they did a jolly good job of it all actually. They chose those actors that Crowley has said before look quite like us which was a very clever move on their part, and the writing was mostly nice and accurate. Iām not sure why they chose that particular title though. I donāt believe there were too many omens present in the tale, and the ones that did exist werenāt particularly āgoodāā¦
Crowley: Probably talking about the whole thing as a āgood omenā for the future, when actually it just implies thereāll be another war down the line once Gabriel and Beelzebub decide what to actually do next. It all looks like a pretty ābad omenā to me.
Aziraphale: Perhaps they should have consulted us before naming it then. I do know a thing or two about book titles after all, and I imagine naming a television program would be a very similar task.
