Stan suddenly (and painfully) sprouts big wings and horns
They can be covered up though
The wings under a very baggy coat and the horns under a beg hat
Then comes the tail
He looks like he's some demon
I don't know where to go with this but the other option was angel and I have even less of an idea for that-wait
Ford also grew wings but he got a halo
Ford is an angel and Stan is a demon and they're fated to fight each other in an epic battle
oho, love fated enemies.
Stan and Ford are not born knowing theyre gonna fight to the death, just as two boys as opposite as can be. Unfortunately for the higher powers, these two become bffs, and sure they lose that closeness with the science fair, and Ford becomes heroic and lawful enough he can be moved to fight Stan to the death if he's convinced its for the greater good, Stan's not so easily swayed. Stan's the worst demon ever, sure he loves crime and breaking the law, but he loves his brother and his family. As it stands, Stan's just gonna let the whole thing pass him by.
Too bad the fate comes with big neon signs pointing at Stan to be fates favorite chew toy.
Maybe there's even prophesies and such about it, people know the angel and demon are coming, that they're gonna fight, and the winner determines the fate of the world, eternal paradise vs eternal torment type deal. Its a huge thing, and now everyone knows Fords the angel when, after he finishes college, two giant pure white wings sprout from his back, a golden halo forms above his head, and he just starts emitting light.
No time to study science and chase butterflies in the woods, its time to learn how to fight so he can save humanity! All they have to do is wait for the demon to reveal himself, and Fords made his mark in history forever (And sure, its not the way he wanted, not what he thought he'd be doing, but that doesn't matter! He's going to blow everyone who ever doubted him away after he does this)
Now all he has to do is slay the demon!
Slay the demon!
The demon!
The demon who would have been revealed the same day as Ford!
Just gotta wait for them!
Except that Stan is not going to reveal himself. The forces of evil are scrambling to find their champion and Stan is huddled in his car, chomping on a bag of stolen chips with his horns stuffed under a hat and his wings under a blanket. He had a good five minutes after they'd sprouted to consider ending the world, but threw that idea out the window the moment Fords face was plastered everywhere and he remembered he also lived here and didn't care about any of these people. Not enough to give them paradise, not enough to risk getting stuck in an eternal hell world. Thanks but no thanks fate! Life's gonna keep trucking along, just like this! Sure it's miserable for him, but that's not new!
Maybe Bills Fords mentor of some kind, secretly evil and setting Ford up for failure Palpatine style. Giving him bad advice, telling him he's doing things correctly when he's not, boosting his ego higher and higher so it's easier to break when the demon shows up. Bills high up there and when the end comes he's gonna be partying at the top, maybe keep Ford in a bird cage, if he lives.
Except the end isn't coming. No demon is showing up, and people are muttering that maybe this is a fluke? Maybe Fords not the one destined to bring paradise? Life's getting hard when the purpose you were apparently born for isn't happening, and Ford is stressed. He's stressed, and people are conspiring against him, and people are muttering and what if he doesn't make it? Surely the demons been preparing as long as Ford has, who's to say if Ford stands a chance?
Ford wants to see his brother, at least one last time.
Sends Stan a post card, and even though he knows it's a bad idea Stan goes anyway. It's winter, no one will think twice at his get up, and Fords calling him. Wants to see him.
Needs him.
So off Stan goes, waltzing into the home of his fated enemy, smiling awkwardly as Ford greets him, gets the vip treatment to Fords fancy place, and no one's gonna suspect the angels twin brother right? Right?
Wrong.
Stan's there for less than an hour, trying to talk to Ford and it's weird and stilted, two people who used to know each other better than anyone who now know nothing about each other, when Bill strolls in. Walks in, clocks Stan's super awkward posture and get up, knows what Ford looks like when he's trying to hide his giant wings, and gasps! The demon! How dare it sneak in here (years late and making everyone wait!) Thought he could get Ford while his guards down did he! (And didn't? You had an hour why is Ford in one piece?) Someone do something (end the world already?? Bill wants to party yesterday)
Cue giant fight, Stan's whole deal gets revealed, Ford feels betrayed, Stan makes a break for it, running through the halls and scrambling to get away. Doesn't fly, doesn't really do? Anything that demonic? It's kind of sad to watch him actually flail around and ram his wings into things.
And ford is so angry, chases Stan down, ready to get this over with, mad at himself for being tricked, and at fate for tricking him into thinking this would be anything other than tragic. Fords got to kill Stan to win, and Stan..Stan...
Is running away?
Fords not gonna let that happen.
Then it's a frantic fight vs flight where Fords yelling accusations at Stan, how of course Stan would wait so long, drag this out, make Ford look bad, make him stew and ruin his life. Trying to rationalize killing his brother for the greater good and Stan's just! Running!
Only for, at some point when it's finally just then, Stan to whirl around and scream about 'oh sorry I wanted to not kill my brother! Sorry your reputation was more important then us not fighting to the death! Sorry I didn't want to end the world! What, did I ruin your life so terribly you've been waiting to kill me!'
Shenanigans happen, and Stan plops down crosses his arms, and declares that he's canceled the end of the world. Too bad so sad, he's not gonna fight his bro for anyone. Mleh.
Apocalypse foiled by power of refusing to do death battle. Not sure where it'd go from there, but that's what I got!
Fallen Apples Stan (or Demon Stan) Give him a call if you want most any of your desires granted!
Creature below
i couldn’t decide which outfit I liked the boys in more so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ You get both!
This was inspired by @ramblesanddragons Monster Falls AU story, “ The Adventures of a Small Gargoyle Stan Pines “ Obviously the picture isn’t Monster Falls but in the story Stan mentions to Ford that they could be an angel and demon on people’s shoulders and that was just the cutest image I had to draw it.
So tada! have some very good, very cute boys.
Of course I’m extremely fashionably late….but is there a story that goes with the Demon Stans AU?
Wow I was just thinking about the Demon Stans AU for the first time in awhile, perfect timing!
The story behind Demon Stans splits off from Canon during Weirdmageddon when Bill does his "I'm gonna kill one of the kids, eenie meenie miney" thing. Ford gives in and says he'll join Bill, under the condition that Gravity Falls itself is spared from destruction. Bill is reluctant to agree after all the hassle the Pines have put him through, so Stan says he'll go too, in exchange for the safety of his family.
So Bill turns them into demons to fit in with the rest of his Henchmaniacs, and Ford is immediately able to banish Bill back to the Nightmare Realm with his new powers. Bill can't stop him because the terms with Stan's deal was that he wouldn't hurt anyone in Stan's family, and Ford counts as Family, and his deal with Ford was not to harm Gravity Falls, but his current sphere of influence is ONLY in Gravity Falls, so he's powerless to resist when Form banishes him. Bill is able to grab both Stan and Ford on the way back to the Nightmare Realm, banishing them there along with him as a sort of consolation prize. When all is said and done, Gravity Falls is saved, but Stan and Ford are gone and the Shack is in ruins. Dipper and Mabel return home and resume their normal lives.
In the Timeline of the AU, the main story takes place when Dipper and Mabel are in their early 20s. A new will from Stan has been "mysteriously found" and stipulates that Dipper and Mabel have inherited the Mystery Shack and the land its on, so the twins move back to the town. Dipper has followed in Ford's footsteps and wants to return to Gravity Falls to research the Weirdness there, and Mabel goes with her because she doesn't want him to "pull a Ford" and summon a chaos demon that wants to end the world again. They fix up the Shack, Mabel re-opens it and runs the shop, and Dipper starts a supernatural hunting show on Gravity Falls Public Access. They find one of Ford's journals and Stan's 8-ball cane in the ruins, which they thought had both been destroyed back during Weirdmageddon. Turns out both are conduits that Stan and Ford can be summoned through, and with some practice from both sides, the Stans are able to interact with the kids again.
They're both almost the same as they were when they were human, but their main personality traits are more exaggerated. Ford is a Knowledge Demon that feeds off learning and facts, and really only cares about amassing new information. Stan thinks he's a Greed Demon and is always looking for a new grift to make a buck, but Dipper thinks he might actually be a Protection Demon since he's fiercely concerned about Mabel and Dipper's safety at all times. Ford is mostly uninterested with interacting with anyone outside Dipper and Mabel, but Stan is able to manifest himself as "Cousin Andrew '8-Ball' Alcatraz" in order to run around Gravity Falls incognito.
And that's the basis for the AU!! Shoot I should draw them again, I liked those designs.
