since you're still doing that, would it be alright if I asked for some more background on Roxy?
(tbh i want to do a fresh redraw of this sheet with some color but w/e)
Roxy was born in the time of vikings and conquest many many years ago, a small but strong willed young woman who worked hard for everything she earned whether through cunning or strength. In truth, she did what was necessary to live but always had a kind heart and a bright smile for anyone or anything she considered dear to her. Her only flaws were that she was a terrible flirt, a bit of a drunk, and terribly mischievous on occasion.
Of the four, I’d say Roxy was one of the most undeserving of her fate rivaled only by Dave’s end honestly. In the midst of a raid, she was cut down and left to die during the chaos by some of the men of her town for always refusing to settle down. It was purely an act of vindictive selfishness that cost her her life and left her spirit raging and furious for all the good she’d done in her life, especially when she was known to drag men off battlefields to care for them or hide children to keep them safe. She despaired over the end until she was approached with the offer to live and take back her pride and seek justice.
And she did tbh. She ripped anyone that had ever wronged her to pieces, dropping bits into the void so no one could ever having the entirety of their dead to grieve them. As for her nature as a demon, she dabbled more in anything that was more related in the pleasures of the mind and body than bloodshed, always getting a crack out of causing someone grief through fear instead of pain. However, she grew bored of always terrorizing humans, met and followed dirk for a time to team up with him until she settled on wandering through old Scotland and many northern countries. Because of this her chaotic streak is second shortest of the four of them with only one incident to be heard of since then that dirk has been heard to have hinted it to have been related to Roanoke in some way.
She grew genuinely fascinated with the way human life shifted and changed with the centuries. The growth of technology was wild to her, exciting to watch as swords became guns and morse code grew to telephones and tv’s and all manner of ways of communication. Unfortunately, because of her particular curse as a demon, it’s hard to be remembered or leave impressions. Photographs struggle to capture her image, cameras miss her or short out, all of which is hard enough when people can forget her existence entirely just short of meeting her if not constantly exposed to her presence. It’s only through online and written communication and usernames that she seems to be able to leave any kind of trace that she does truly exist, a fact that she holds on to so tightly when she’s always desperate to leave some kind of proof that she still exists.
Here’s a little more on Roxy I’ve mentioned before!! And Dave and Dirk’s.
