While we are on the subject this week of artistic endeavors and fine details, I’d like to introduce this antique demitasse collection. Made of paper thin porcelain, it’s a true testament to care and love that these delicate dishes have traveled the world unmarred for the past 100 years. 🌸 They are a mixed set that came from Japan and France, and two of them possibly came from Italy or Russia. All of them are handpainted, embellished with pretty flowers, gold paint and secret stories of where they’ve been and whom they’ve known. Their last owner shared a rumor she heard - that a well known figure in the Italian government in the early 20th century had enjoyed his coffee from one of these cups. But there has been no way to track this story or verify its validity as of yet. At this point, only the cups know. Oh the intrigue! Antiques sure do have a way of delighting the mind. Scroll for more up close photos and speculate yourself which cup it might be. At this point, anyone’s guess could be correct! Read more about them in the shop. . . . . . #antiqueporcelain #porcelain #delicate #demitasse #demitassecollection #frenchporcelain #handpaintedporcelain #handpaintedflorals https://www.instagram.com/p/CBV9zkNgTW4/?igshid=nw5mfg9sxrnr
