You don't even know how much I've been thinking about this ask. How does one sum up Demansem. I suppose I will simply have to do my best. Much text incoming.

Obligatory silly meme first

It all began on a 2am voice call, as so many things do... Demansem spawned from a meme within a meme. It was supposed to be a silly joke. 'Haha imagine if one of the most dramatic and powerful villains of the series got with Just Some Guy. Wouldn't that be hilarious?'

I did not know yet what I had started.

I drew more memes. They wouldn't leave my brain. And now we're here, many days of rotation later, where the sight of them has me kicking my feet and giggling.

Personally I think that Ansem is head over heels for Demyx and he doesn't want to admit it because romance isn't something he's supposed to have. He's just a pawn in Xehanort's plans. Yet, the heart wants what the heart wants. Plus there's the added bonus of Ansem having zero relationship experience (you CANNOT tell me that Xehanort or Terra went on any dates). Demyx is generally clueless so he's no help either. They are down bad and doing a terrible job of solving it.

Also I am begging anyone reading this to go rewatch Ansem's death cutscene from KH3 with Demansem in mind, it will rewire your brain chemistry. Ansem wants to defy his fate....... graaaaaahhhhh!!!!!! Let him and Demyx be traitors together!!! I honestly don't know why this rarepair has never been done before. They could fix each other AND make each other worse.

There's also my whole modern au I've concocted for this ship, but it's outside the scope of this post. Unless you want to hear about it too. Twirls my hair.
