I am one of 9 children (6 remain). // She eventually earned her high school diploma AND a college degree. // Mommy did everything possible to feed my (and my siblings) curiosity, nurture our intellect, and free range 'my' precociousness (actually to the point where she once said to me exasperatedly when I was about 7, "Adrienne quit being so arrogant🙀 She had one on me - I did not know what the word meant). // A woman-child ... she was FUN, and funny! She had shapely big legs (I have her legs) that were simply beautiful to look at in her Bermuda shorts. // Her hair was black, long and wavy. She was so young & good-looking, that I thought she was not ... my mother. Yet ... I was so proud to be loved by her. She was fierce! // Because I was the first and only girl (till my attention grabbing bitch sister was born 5 years later😆) there was a symbiosis between my Mommy and me. // I could "feel" her ... up until her death from metastatic breast #cancer at the age of 52. I did not want to. The fear ... hers and mine was too incredible to bear. I am a #nurse. I worked with brilliant doctors and I could not ... save her. // I could not imagine ... that the world would continue without her-in-it, seriously.
