Lane is this young girl who lives with some distant family or friends of her family-Casterwills and one day someone brings a box that belonged to some cousin who lived in Middleast or was interested in Arabic cultures, especially the pre-Islamic ones. So the items from that box get laid out and there is a jar or a lamp there, and Lane likes it because it has this very artistic look and she gets it. She puts it in her room and tries to clean it up when Dellix appears in her room. She’s of course freaked out and he tells her he has been put there by a warlock or witch of some sort and that he is a genie and he can make her three wishes so Lane first wishes for something for Lucas and Sophie, the sweet thing that she is and Dellix grants her this wish.She asks for another thing and the same stuff happens. he asks her for third wish and  she then says she needs time to think about it and in that time she gets to know Dellix who accompanies her a lot, and they talk and they really found each other fun and then comes time for her wish and she wishes he was free, like in Alladin movie, and she does but he doesn’t leave because there isn’t anywhere he can go, he doesn’t have a home for centuries now, and anyway he likes her so he stays behind for her.Â
