This savory veggie burger is so flavorful and satisfying that even die-hard meat lovers won't miss the meat. It's packed with delicious toppings and a zesty sauce to create a burger that's a true crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients: 2 veggie burger patties. 2 whole wheat burger buns. 2 slices of cheddar cheese. 1/2 cup of baby spinach leaves. 1/4 cup of sliced red onion. 1/4 cup of sliced tomato. 1/4 cup of sliced pickles. 1/4 cup of mayonnaise. 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard. 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Warm up a grill or griddle on the stove over medium-high heat. Add salt and pepper to the veggie burger patties and brush them with olive oil. Put the patties on the griddle or grill and cook them for four to five minutes on each side, until they are hot all the way through and have grill marks. In the last minute of cooking, cover each patty with a piece of cheddar cheese and place it on top. This will melt the cheese. Separate the burger buns and toast them briefly on the grill or in a toaster while the patties are cooking. In a small bowl, mix the Dijon mustard and mayonnaise to make a sauce. Spread the mayo-mustard sauce on the bottom half of each bun before putting the burgers together. Squash a veggie burger patty and melt some cheese on top of the sauce. Little spinach, red onion slices, tomato, and pickles should be put on top. Put the top half of the bun on top. Warm up your tasty veggie burgers and serve them with your favorite sides. Have fun with your tasty veggie burger that even meat eaters will love!
