that's always been the tvd trope honestly. elena = pure, angelic, good, stefan = pure, angelic, good (with a slight killing problem that's not nearly as bad as damons), and damon = BAD BROTHER. these assholes have kept this role alive for 7 fucking seasons and i'm so tired of it.
pretty much yeah. that’s exactly what i started to dislike about the show, but i started watching it around the time damon and elena were already getting together so i sucked up the first seasons and waited, but god that show has always been a mess. the love triangle wouldn’t have bothered me so much if they hadn’t kept villainizing damon and romanticizing stefan. “say what you want about ripper stefan but at least he’s not a manwhore” that was probably what the fucking writers think since literally no one, not bonnie not elena, called caroline out on that phrase. just... ughÂ
